More Macro
I have been attempting to get my head around the MP-E 65mm lens. It is a bit of a challenge, particularly on the higher magnifications and the advice to begin and get accustomed to 1X first is a good point.
This is the centre bit of a Hibiscus flower, several exposures and stacked. No other PP and taken in natural light, a bit of an oversight because I simply forgot to activate the ring flash.
The second is a tooth of a chainsaw, and the imperfections in the metal can easily be seen.

Kids in the Rain
The schools were closed because of the low pressure event that came across the NW Top End. We had them for the day, and kids being what kids are, it wasn't long before they were making the most of a day off from school and turning what was otherwise a bleak day into a fun time.

Macro Stuff
I have been playing around with macro photography lately. I'm still in a grade of lower then low amateur, but it is still a lot of fun. It's full of obstacles, wind, insects not co-operating, the focus is a challenge in itself for my worn out eyes, but still, it keeps me off the streets and out of the pub!
